We received an EnviroStars℠ Five Star Green Business award in 2001, and replaced all our old equipment that used the chemical solvent PERC with brand new EM-based machines. EM (Effective Microorganisms) technology is a much safer and environmentally-friendly dry cleaning that significantly reduces solvent use and waste.
In addition to upgrading our dry cleaning equipment, we have invested in brand new, state of the art machines for laundering and pressing.
All cleaning is performed on-site and never outsourced to industrial facilities.
When you put recently-worn clothing directly into storage, the oils left on the clothes can attract moths and other bugs. Many customers have dropped off garments that were damaged by these pests (in particular wool and cashmere).
One way to help prevent damage is to wash or dry-clean clothing you have worn before tucking it away in storage.
